This book is a "greener" laboratory manual written for general college chemistry courses. Having students perform "greener" experiments will not only make a safer learning environment, but it will also greatly reduce the quantity of hazardous waste generated and the cost for chemicals and waste disposal. The laboratory experiments not only use green principles but also seek to teach students about green chemistry and its importance. This is done in the introductory section of the manual, the individual lab introductions, and through extension questions requiring research about traditional, more hazardous experimental methods.
