The introduction of gender studies within social sciences was intended to promote the necessity for a balance between men, women, and other gender identities in across all aspects of the cultural, political and economic spheres. Although interconnected, feminist and gender economics have many differences. This book offers a historical exploration of the development feminist economics and gender economics, as well as their theoretical and methodological differences. Its narrative also serves to embed both within a broader cultural context.
