The Japanese artist Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858) is considered to be
the last of the masters of ukiyo-e ('pictures of the floating
world'), and is most famous for his landscapes and his studies of
his home city of Edo. This book collects 82 of the prints in
Hiroshige's series 100 Famous Views of Edo, which he was working on
when he died, and includes an introduction exploring his life and
career.
