High performance pigments are an important segment of the diverse and richfield of color and visual effect technology. The sub-category of pigments referredto as “high performance” generally denotes members of the larger body of pig-ments, both organic and inorganic, that exhibit enhanced durability. The mostsalient durability feature is generally regarded as resistance to visible and ultra-violet radiation (lightfastness), but heat stability and chemical resistance are alsocritical attributes.
