Ageing comedian Jack Corsac used to be a household name. With his fame now a thing of the past, Corsac is forced to work in sleazy comedy clubs just to make ends meet. Unable to take any more, he quits on stage and seeks the help of his estranged daughter, Sam, to recover what he once had. When Sam arranges for Corsac to host a game show, he leaps at the chance and a new career path opens before him.
