A SO-CALLED SCIENTIFIC rationale is being spawned to explain some of the critical dilemmas of the day — such as the rising tide of violence — by blaming them on individuals who don't make the grade genetically, or whose uncontrollable behavioral problems are associated with faulty neurological wiring. These people are said to be afflicted with a case of bad genes, or suffering from some brain disorder, or carrying around an extra chromosome, or victims of all three conditions.
