A timing strategy done right will always beat the “buy and hold” strategy.
I have done well in the stock market due to the following reasons:
1) my money is invested in a number of mutual funds as shown under Chapter, “Investment Strategy – Asset Allocation”.
2) I do not buy and sell my shares during dips and rises in the stock market in periods of economic recovery (expansions). I “buy and hold” until an identifiable recession is in sight.
3) I follow my timing system shown under chapter, “Inverted yield curve, a harbinger of gloom and doom”. I get out of mutual funds before the start of the bear market that follows a recession.
4) I return my money into the same mutual funds before the beginning of the bull market that precedes a recovery.
