As a member of those who have devoted much of his time to the study of mechanics and automation, I am especially glad that an opportunity and chance for us to get together and share our ideas on our most concerned issues has finally shown up by the opening of the 2014 International Conference on Applied Mechanics and Mechanical Automation-AMMA2014. Human beings have only lived on this planet for several million years, but no species have ever changed the planet like we have. In our process of making the world a better place, we have kept advancing our understanding of natural laws and to our joy, we do have succeeded a lot with our understanding of these laws. One of our most successful understanding and applying of the natural law is our knowledge of mechanics.
